Hi Ladies!!!  I am in the final stages of coordinating draft stories with women for the book "My Mom Flies." We have had an incredible response and have over 100 women participating.  If you are currently working on your story, the  Bio Outline page is a good guide. Also, you can also see some condensed examples of a couple of women's stories on the 'Example Bio Page'. This organization’s goal is to promote young girls' interest in aviation. The Girls With Wings organization / website was founded by a former military pilot who now is a pilot with a private company. Check it out!

Also, check out the www.fighterchicks.com website. Even if you don't fly fighters, this a great website for women aviators

"My Mom Flies" will be a coffee table-style book of current and former women military aviators who are also moms. I am looking for moms in the age range of approximately 20-50 years old. Each mom will have two pages in the book, one page for her story and experiences and the facing page will be for pictures. Overall the concept of the book will be to:

- highlight real life stories and pictures of today’s
women aviators who are also moms

- provide a legacy and preservation of memories that we
moms pass down to our own children

- inspire and encourage children and young people to
pursue their dreams

I am a former Naval Aviator and retired a few years ago.  My husband and I have two little boys and we live in Southern Maryland near the Naval Air Station Patuxent River. (The picture in the upper left of the collage of photos is one of me and one of my little boys). Also, my bio is also highlighted on the Girls With Wings website (www.girlswithwings.org; click on "Pics of GWW" and then click on pix of "Linda").
